A Shifting of Stars by Kathy Kimbray
I read the synopsis and knew this was going to be an interesting read. So far I am not disappointed. Meadow, the main character, has set out in a journey to overthrow the emperor at a deep cost. It sounds empowering, and the author has so far kept me wanting to read on. I can’t wait to see how this story concludes.

Heavy: An American Memoir by Kiese Laymon
I began reading this for the book club I am a part of and I just have to finish it. It is raw, and at times tough to read through without taking a pause. This is the authors journey of dealing with so many things in their life while also struggling to come to a medium where they accept their body. Heavy is heavy in all aspects of the word. I definitely recommend the read.
